Haunted Overload Part III: The Final Scare of the Freaky Doll-Bear 🎃
The clown guy at the end was super helpful by giving me directions out of these creepy - I mean delightful - woods. Not that I didn’t enjoy my time here. I really did. I just wish an angry horde of dolls didn’t grab onto the trunk of my car and follow me home. They demanded frequent rest stops and collectively had a really weird taste in music.

Welcome back to MORE Haunted Overload from DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, NH! 🎃 As you may notice, I encountered a lot of friendly faces that wanted to hurt me in various and surprising ways. I opted for taking a page out of Greg’s book (from Over the Garden Wall) by pulling a sneaky “candy camouflage” maneuver on them and running away. Seemed to work. I made it home safe and sound. But with significantly less candy. Sigh. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

A year ago, I started getting back into reading physical books. I read a decent amount as a kid (for school and for fun), but after college I focused mostly on my art and gave up on reading entirely. However, I’ve always been a huge fan of the Halloween season and several years back began collecting Halloween bits and bobs, which later turned into collecting horror and seasonal movies. I started watching a lot of movie collectors on YouTube, which then led me to BookTube, and I was like….huh! Books. Books are cool, I guess. A fave YouTube channel of mine is @library_macabre, and I have Cameron to thank for getting me back into loving books. Not just collecting them, but reading them as well. I’m very early on in my re-discovery of books, but I have so much to look forward to - classics that a lot of people have read that I get to read for the first time! One of which being “The Halloween Tree” by Ray Bradbury. This is a dark, fantastical, dreamlike tale that artfully illustrates the origins of Halloween. It’s spooky, it’s cozy, it’s dark, and it evokes feelings of childhood excitement and mystery in relation to the season of Halloween. It’s barely over 100 pages, but it’s the best book I’ve read all year. Can’t believe it took me this long to discover it, but I’m so happy that I finally did. Please check this one out if you haven’t read it yet. Bradbury’s wordplay is masterful and this one is especially great for this time of year. 🍁

2026 @hauntedoverload in Lee, NH 🍁
I found somebody’s lost dog out there, btw. He’s got long white fur, horns, glowing yellow eyes, blood-soaked paws, fangs the size of steak knives, and a slight temper on him. No collar. Hope someone finds this cutie and returns him or gives him a nice home. 😈
